What is equipment management software?
Equipment management software keeps one register of what an organisation owns and what is happening to it — where each item is, who has it, what condition it is in and when it is next due for service. Itefy replaces the spreadsheet that only stays accurate while one person keeps updating it, because the record updates itself as equipment is booked, checked out, moved and repaired.
What can we record against each item?
Photos, documents, purchase and depreciation values, serial and asset numbers, condition, current location and free-text notes, alongside custom types and categories you define. Every booking, checkout, move, condition change and repair is then appended automatically, so each item carries its own complete history without anyone maintaining a log.
How do we get our existing equipment list into Itefy?
Import it from Excel or CSV with a guided wizard that maps your columns to Itefy's fields, including auto-numbering for batches of identical items. Most teams import their existing list and run their first checkouts the same day; you can export everything again at any time, so the data stays yours.
Do we need barcode scanners, RFID or other special hardware?
No. Itefy uses printed QR labels that any phone camera reads through the Itefy Go app — which runs in the browser and can be installed to the home screen, so there is nothing to buy and nothing to roll out. Print label sheets on an ordinary laser printer, or export item codes for DYMO and Brother label printers.
How many items and users does a plan cover?
Plans are sized by capacity rather than by feature: 500 items on Basic, 2,000 on Startup, 10,000 on Business and 50,000 on Enterprise, each with a bundle of user seats included and more available per month. The core system — database, reservations, checkouts, issues, maintenance, QR labels, permissions and import/export — is on every tier. Full detail on plans and pricing.
Can Itefy connect to our other systems?
Itefy has a REST API on the Business and Enterprise plans for pushing or pulling item, reservation and checkout data, and Excel/CSV import and export on every plan for one-off and scheduled transfers. There is no pre-built integrations marketplace today — see the API page for what the interface covers.
