Asset Panda alternative: a quote, or a price?

Asset Panda has more features than Itefy, better compliance credentials than Itefy, and a much larger customer base than Itefy. This page is not going to argue otherwise. It is about a different question: whether you want to buy software that way.

In this comparison

Choose Asset Panda if

  • You need SOC 2, HIPAA or GovRAMP on the vendor’s side.
  • Inspections with custom checklists and scheduled mobile audits are the job.
  • You want it integrated with Jamf, Intune, ServiceNow or Okta.
  • You have a procurement process, and a demo is a normal part of buying.

Choose Itefy if

  • You want to see the price before talking to anyone.
  • You want to be running this afternoon, not after onboarding.
  • Booking and maintaining shared equipment is the whole job.
  • You are too small to be interesting to an enterprise sales team.

This is not a feature comparison

Let us get the awkward part out of the way. Asset Panda has reservations with designated approval managers and a Gantt view of usage. It has maintenance scheduling, repair tickets, and asset inspections with custom checklists and photo documentation. It has scheduled mobile audits, offline mobile, SAML single sign-on with MFA, more than twenty native integrations including Jamf, Intune, ServiceNow and Okta, and an AI layer on top. It held 4.6 out of 5 across more than 1,300 Capterra reviews when we checked in July 2026.

On a feature-by-feature table, they win. We are not going to build that table and mark it in our favour, because you would open their site and see through it in a minute.

Asset Panda’s own framing: tracking, inspection, audit, compliance — with SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA and GovRAMP badges under the fold and Dyson, Amazon, Toyota and GE below that. This is a compliance platform for large organisations, and it is not pretending to be anything else. assetpanda.com, captured July 2026.

The difference is how you buy it

Here is the actual difference.

Asset Panda does not publish prices. We read their pricing page in a browser to be sure of it: no figures anywhere, and the calls to action are “Get a Quote” and “Book a Demo”. Their own words are “get a personalized quote tailored to your organization’s asset management needs”. There is a free 7-day trial, which they mention as a next step after that conversation.

Itefy publishes every price on the pricing page, and you can put in a card and start without speaking to anyone. $15/month for 500 items and 3 users; $39 for 2,000 and 5; $79 for 10,000 and 10; $159 for 50,000 and 20. Extra seats $3–5. Monthly or yearly. Cancel whenever.

Why we do not print a price for them

There are figures for Asset Panda circulating on directory sites and procurement marketplaces. We have chosen not to repeat any of them. They are third-party reported, Asset Panda has never confirmed them, and quoting someone else’s unverified price on our own comparison page is precisely the behaviour these pages exist not to exhibit.

If you want their number, ask them for it. Then put it next to ours, which has been on our pricing page the whole time.

Neither model is inherently better. A quote lets a vendor fit a price to a large, complicated deployment, and their onboarding is well reviewed. But if you are a small team, a sales-led motion means a demo before a number, a number that depends on the conversation, and an implementation before you find out whether the thing suits you.

Asset Panda details read from their own pages, July 2026. We have not printed a price for them because they publish none.

Where Asset Panda is clearly ahead

Their homepage leads with “It Tracks. It Inspects. It Audits. You Stay Compliant.” and carries SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA and GovRAMP badges. That is a serious set of credentials and Itefy holds no equivalent certification. We are developed and operated in Europe, which answers a data-residency question, but it is not a certificate and we will not dress it up as one.

If your procurement process requires SOC 2 or HIPAA on the vendor side, this comparison is already settled and we would rather you knew now. Similarly if regulated inspection records are the reason you are buying: inspections with custom checklists and photo evidence are a headline pillar of their product and a thin part of ours.

Two different shapes of product

Asset Panda’s identity is configurability — build your own fields, actions, workflows and views. That is genuinely powerful, and it is also the thing their reviewers most often describe as taking time to get right; “overwhelming for new users” is a recurring theme alongside their high overall ratings.

Itefy is the opposite bet. The workflows are opinionated and mostly fixed: items, reservations, checkouts, issues, maintenance, condition and location, with permissions over the top. Less to shape, less to get wrong, less to learn — and a hard ceiling if what you needed was a platform to build on.

The Itefy dashboard showing equipment status at a glance
Itefy’s entry plan carries the whole core — bookings, checkouts, issues, maintenance, condition and location tracking, QR labels and the mobile app. Plans differ by capacity and a few extras.

Who each one is for

Asset Panda is for organisations with a procurement process. Multiple locations, compliance obligations, an IT estate to integrate with, and someone whose job includes running an implementation. At that size a demo is not friction, it is due diligence, and their onboarding is one of the things customers rate most highly.

Itefy is for teams that would find that whole process disproportionate. A workshop with 400 tools. A production company with three crews. A school department, a makerspace, a council depot. If you want to try something on Thursday and decide by Friday, our motion fits and theirs does not.

The uncomfortable truth for us is that if you grow into their shape, you will probably outgrow ours. We would rather say that than pretend a $15/month product replaces a compliance platform.

What switching involves

Export your assets from Asset Panda to CSV or Excel, then import with Itefy’s guided wizard — column mapping, row-by-row review, and existing QR and barcode labels keep working.

Expect to lose configuration on the way. If you have built custom workflows, conditional actions and bespoke views in Asset Panda, some of that will have no equivalent in an opinionated product. That is either the point of moving or the reason not to.

How we researched this

  • We have not used Asset Panda. Everything here comes from their own pricing and product pages, read in a browser in July 2026, plus public review sites.
  • We print no price for them, because they publish none. Figures exist on third-party directories; they are unverified and we have not repeated them.
  • The 7-day trial is from their own page. Some directories say 14 days; we have used theirs.
  • We make no claim about their billing terms. Third-party listings say annual only, their own pages do not say, and that is not a good enough basis for a mark in a table.
  • Review figures are as at July 2026 and move over time.
  • Points about configuration effort are recurring themes in their reviews, not our findings, and sit alongside consistently strong ratings.
  • If we have got something wrong, tell us at support@itefy.com and we will correct it.

Questions people ask

  • They do not publish prices. Their pricing page carries no figures and asks you to book a demo or request a personalised quote. Figures circulate on third-party directories, but Asset Panda has not confirmed them and we have chosen not to repeat them — ask them directly, then compare with our published pricing.
  • Yes — their own page describes a free 7-day fully featured trial, offered as a next step after a demo. Itefy has a 14-day trial of every feature with no credit card and no conversation required.
  • No, and we would not claim it. Asset Panda has inspections with custom checklists, scheduled mobile audits, SAML SSO with MFA, twenty-plus native integrations and compliance certifications we do not hold. Itefy is narrower on purpose and priced for teams that need the equipment loop rather than a platform.
  • No. Itefy is developed and operated in Europe, which answers data-residency questions, but it holds no security certification. Asset Panda advertises SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA and GovRAMP. If certification is a procurement requirement, that decides it in their favour.
  • Smaller teams whose job is booking, lending and maintaining shared equipment, who want to see the price up front and start the same day without a demo, a quote or an implementation phase.
