When your inventory app needs to answer a harder question: who has it, and when is it back?
When your inventory app needs to answer a harder question: who has it, and when is it back?
Sortly is a good way to organise what you own — photos, folders, quantities, a genuinely polished mobile app. If your job is counting supplies, it does that job well.
Shared equipment asks different questions. Who checked this out? Is it already booked next Tuesday? When was it last serviced, and what broke? That’s not inventory — that’s equipment management, and it’s what Itefy is built for.

If what you need is counting consumables and supplies — low-stock alerts, purchase orders, pick lists — Sortly is genuinely good at it, with a free tier and a level of consumer polish we don’t claim to match. Some teams run both, and that’s a reasonable answer.
Gear leaves the shelf. You need checkout accountability with due dates and overdue alerts — not a note typed into a custom field.
People book ahead. Two crews, one camera, same Tuesday. You need a calendar that makes double-booking impossible, not a group chat that makes it visible afterwards.
Equipment needs upkeep. Service schedules, faults reported with photos, repair history per item. Reminders alone don’t keep gear alive.
We’ll put this carefully, because it matters more than any feature row: check what your plan costs after the first-year discount ends, then compare it with our pricing page — where the number you see is the number you keep paying. No promotional asterisks, and no separate renewal price.
Check equipment out to a person with a purpose and a due date, and get told when it doesn’t come back. Every handover is recorded against the item, so the history survives staff turnover.
Reserve items, kits or whole packages ahead of time on a shared calendar. Conflicts are caught as the booking is made, rather than discovered on the morning it matters.
Export from Sortly to CSV, then import with the guided wizard — it maps your columns to Itefy fields and lets you review and adjust every row before anything is created. Existing QR labels keep working.
