By printing and sticking QR code labels onto your items, you can select items by simply scan the QR code with your device using the Itefy Go app.
You can either print QR labels that are already assigned to existing items, or you can print unassigned QR labels that can be assigned with the Itefy Go app.
If you choose the last option, the QR code must be assigned or connected to an item in order to work:
- From the web app, print the number of unassigned QR labels you need.
- Stick one of the labels onto the item.
- With the Itefy Go app, create or find the item you want to connect the QR code label to.
- On the item page, tap the QR code button, then tap the Assign new QR label button.
- This will start the camera on your device. If this is the first time the Itefy Go app is using the camera, you will be asked if you want to allow the site or app to use the camera. Select yes/ok (depending on the type of device you are using).
- Scan the unassigned QR label on the item. The QR code should now be assigned to the item. In order to test if it actually works, go back to the app dashboard, select Scan QR code and scan the QR code label on the device. If the item page comes up, the QR label has been successfully assigned to that item.
