Check out from reservation

By creating a checkout directly from a reservation, you get the benefits of:

• Automatically copying all information from the reservation into the checkout
• Making a permanent relation between the reservation and the checkout

To create a checkout from a reservation, open the reservation, click the More menu, then Create checkout. For reservations classified as usage or transport, Create checkout is the suggested completion action and appears first in the menu with a "Default" label.

You can also get there from the other direction. If you start an ordinary checkout and one of the items you pick turns out to be reserved for that period, the new-checkout window says so and offers Check out as this reservation — which links the two exactly as if you had started from the reservation. This is worth using whenever the items are being collected for that booking, so the reservation is closed off instead of being left open and later counted as unfulfilled. See Check out items.

Creating the checkout marks the reservation as completed, and the reservation page shows a Converted to checkout banner linking to the checkout. Once converted, the reservation also shows a Planned vs actual summary — how the actual pickup and return times compared with the booked window, and whether the items taken matched the items reserved.

You can only create checkouts from reservations that are not yet completed.
