Scanning

The round button in the middle of the bottom bar opens the camera. It is there on every screen, so scanning is never more than one tap away.

Scanning one thing

Point the camera at a QR label. When it resolves, the item opens — no confirm step, no list to pick from.

If the code is damaged or the light is bad, type it instead: there is an Or enter a code… field under the viewfinder.

Scanning several things

Some jobs need a list rather than one item — checking out four things, or booking a kit. When the scanner is opened from one of those, scanned items collect in a basket at the bottom of the screen. Keep scanning; tap × on a row to drop one; tap Done when the list is right.

Verifying a return

Check-in has a Scan to verify button. Scan each item as it comes off the van and the app ticks it off the list for you, so what is recorded is what is physically in front of you rather than what you meant to bring back. When everything on the list has been scanned it says so.

NFC tags

If your phone supports NFC and your plan includes it, the scanner screen also reads NFC tags. Hold the phone against the tag.

NFC support depends on the phone and the browser. Where it is not available, the option is not shown.

When a code is not recognised

A code that belongs to no item reports Not found. That usually means it is a blank label — see QR codes on an item for assigning one.
