Adjust stock ​

Consumables — batteries, cable ties, filters — are counted rather than lent. On an inventory item the primary button is Adjust stock rather than Check out.

The three ways ​

  • Add — a delivery arrived
  • Remove — some were used
  • Set to — you have just counted the shelf and this is the truth

Set to is the one to use after a stocktake. Adding and removing keep a running figure that can drift; counting replaces it.

Add a note when the reason is not obvious.

Where the figure shows ​

On the items list as a stock label, and on the item screen. A low figure is worth watching: the account can be set to notify when stock drops below a threshold, which is configured in the web app.

History ​

Every adjustment is on the item's History tab, and across the account under More → your name → Recent changes.

Inventory is not equipment ​

Inventory items are not checked out, not booked, and cannot be part of a kit. They can still have issues and events — a batch can be faulty, and restocking is worth logging.
