Categories

Categories are similar to equipment types, but is more flexible and makes to categorize equipment by different criteria. Typical categories can be make, model, size, color, or whatever criteria that make sense for you.

To use categories, you first need to add them. From the main menu, select Filters > Categories.

Category management is very similar to types management. First, add the category you need by clicking Add category. This could be e.g. make, model, size, color, etc. Then, add each selectable value by clicking the plus symbol for each category.

If you have misplaced a category value, you can click and drag it into another filter.

Select category values for an item

Select the Categories sub section on the item page under Settings.

For each category that is relevant for the item, simply select the values that apply to that item and click Done. You can select multiple values for each category if needed.

The item will now be searchable on the selected category values.
