Types is an optional way to categorize your equipment in Itefy. To select a type for an item, you first have to add types. This can easily be managed while adding items (equipment) to your Itefy account.
You can manage types either from the main menu (Filters > Types) or by selecting type for a new item. If you select the last option, you have to click the Manage types link as well.
Add types
Click the Add type button, enter a name (minimum 1 character, maximum 254 characters) and press enter to save.
Change type name
Click the icon to the right of the type name, enter a new name (minimum 1 character, maximum 254 characters) and press enter to save. The name has to be unique (multiple types can't have the same name).
Delete types
Click the icon to the right of the type name, and confirm. When deleting a type, the type will be reset in all items where that type was selected. The items itself will not be affected.
Select a type for an item
To define a type for an item, go to the item and click the Settings tab. Under Properties, select Item type. The type will automatically be saved when selected.
