What’s an issue?

In Itefy, you can create an issue for an item that’s broken or otherwise can’t be used

When an issue is created the item status becomes Inoperative and it can’t be checked out, but it can be reserved for a date in the future.

There are three issue statuses so users can track its progress:

  • Open: This is the default status when an issue is created but a resolution hasn't started.
  • In progress: A resolution to the issue has started.
  • Closed: The issue has been resolved and closed. The item is back in operation.

Pro tip: In Itefy we have Events, which work differently from Issues. An event is used to record an item’s important dates, such as its service history, repairs, or warranty expiry date.
